Thursday, August 10th – Pre-Festival Warm-Up
- 6:00 PM at the Tin Room Bar & Theater: Blast off with a pre-festival celebration featuring a special screening of “Trip to the Far Side.” Journey through four locally produced short films that explore the mysterious and the unexplainable.
Friday, August 4th – The Galactic Gathering
- 3:30 PM at the Highline Heritage Museum:
- Charlette Lefevre & Philip Lipson: Uncover “The Maury Island UFO Incident: The Story behind the Air Force’s first Military Plane Crash.”
- Vince Ynzunza: Delve into “The Myth and Legacy of Art Bell” and discover the enigmatic world of late-night radio.
- Shanelle Schanz: Experience “The Coming of the Saucers – Kenneth Arnold” and the birth of modern ufology.
- Liminal Earth Presentation: Explore the bizarre and unexplained with “Into the Liminal: UFOs and Liminal Earth.”
- 4:00 PM – Welcome Party on the Street: Join DJ Lucky Strike for a cosmic welcome party, setting the stage for an evening of wonder and excitement.
Music Lineup:
- 4:45 – 5:45 PM: Roeman and the Whereabouts bring their soulful sounds to BUFO.
- 6:15 – 7:15 PM: Ryan Burns and Jacques Willis take you on a musical journey on the small stage.
- 9:00 – 11:00 PM: Nite Wave, the ultimate 80s tribute band, lights up the main stage with electrifying performances that will transport you to another dimension.
- 8:00 PM – Costume Contest: Don your most extraterrestrial attire for our Costume Contest with DJ Marco Collins. Show off your creativity in categories ranging from Alien Extravaganza to Galactic Good Dog, with trophies and prizes for the most stellar outfits.
Saturday, August 5th – Continued Encounters
- Family Day Activities:
- Enjoy face painting, the giant UFO bounce house/slide combo, and engage in mysterious alien craft-making with Burien Arts.
- Be mesmerized by an alien flash mob and join in the dance if you dare!
- Art and Crafts Vendors:
